I am delighted to share the wonderful news that my cookbook will be published in March 2019. Salt and Time explores the culinary heritage that I grew up with, delving into the intricate history of Russian, Siberian and Soviet cooking. It will feature dishes dear to my family, recipes that I’ve discovered in Soviet and pre-Revolutionary Russian cookbooks as well as my own contemporary takes on classic flavour combinations.
13 March – A special edition of KinoVino supper club celebrating Russian food and cinema. Featuring dishes from the book and a chance to get a signed copy too!
Booking opens soon
19 March – Book singing and a talk at Pushkin House with Alissa Timoshkina and Zuza Zak discussing Slavic food and identity. Followed by a wine and canapés reception.
29 March – Salt & Time supper club series: Olia Hercules. A first of many in a series where Alissa Timoshkina collaborates with her favourite women in food industry to create intimate dining experiences inspired by the dishes from Salt&Time. Olia Hercules is a trailblazing Ukrainian chef who introduced flavours of Eastern Europe to the West. Together, they will explore their shared experience of growing up in the Soviet Union and create dishes that are at once nostalgic and bang up to date!
